I don’t photo purples often because my camera occassionally thinks it’s a magician. Generally when I pull out the purple polishes – and it magically turns them all to blue. Since it seems to behave itself with most other colors, I put up with it and manually color correct them in photoshop. It’s a pain in the butt. But I’ve put off capturing the beauty of these purples for too long. So behold, some of my favorite BB Couture purples!
Balboa Beach Bunny is a fun polish with a jelly base with pink and silver glitter… and an occassional silver flake. Blue Seude Shoes may be titled blue but it has purple leanings. It kinda reminds me of Chanel Irridescent.
Midnight Desire is a fairly dark purple that has a tendancy to look a bit blackened in normal lighting. But its shimmer is so gorgeous, I forgive its goth tendancies. Lowrider is one of the newest polishes in the Hot Rod Collection. It’s a shimmer with strong frost leanings. If you put it on thin, you shouldn’t have a problem.
The last two are my favorites. Pyscho for your love seems like an average purple, but it’s deep shimmer has a depth has made it one of my purple darlings. Venice Party has a silver specks that stand out suprisingly well for a polish that isn’t a jelly. Between the color and the finish, this one is pretty unique in my stash.
BB Couture polishes can be found at Overall Beauty for $8-9. Make sure you sign up for their newsletter to find out about new releases and sales.
