Finally!

I know that the matte craze has hit almost all polish brands, but this is not your average matte – it’s matte on a whole new level. And it blows my mind I’m talking about OPI here. From the utter depths of “meh” (I’m talking the last, what? 3 collections?), these colors are making my heart beat fast and hard.

I don’t have most of these colors in their original finish (probably because most of them were cremes), so I can’t really compare – nor do I really want to. These are stand out colors whether they are being compared to their evil twin sisters or not. The finish is unlike any other, and it looks great with or without topcoat (see below). You Konading fantatics are going to have a field day playing with these.

The application was interesting – in a good way. The polish went on beautifully. But it was visually distracting because the polish looks like it’s gritty, even though it glides on like butter. No worries, it’s only a visual trick – the finished app is completely smooth. Pigmentation is out of this world. I think I could have even gotten away with one coat on a few of these but opted for the full two anyways.

Suzi, please continue smoking what ever it was that you were smoking when you came up with these! Cuz I need more!
