Winter is hell on my nails.
They go from short to shorter back to short and then to nubs. Five minutes before I was starting to swatch all my new NYX Girls, I chipped a corner on one of my nails. So I patched it up with some acrylic. With all the swatches I had to do, I ended up patching three more times as all the polish removal would remove the acrylic after about 5 swatchs. And to top matters off, halfway through another nail split. Argh!!!!!!! By the last three swatches, I was praying my nails would hold on. 
However, once I’m down a path, I have a hard time turning back – especially when I’m doing a series as I like to see them with the nails all the same length. I also had a few people wanting to see what these colors looked like as they are new. I’ll have to apologize in advance as some of these swatches are less than optimal. So for better or worse, I have 20 swatches of the new NYX Girls that I’ll be showing over the next five days.
Sexy Plum is a blackened wine. Normally I’m not wild about these almost black colors, but I liked this one. The two greys were slightly different than the average silvers. Smoldering had a hint of wine and Charcoal Pearl had just a hint of mossy green. Moonwalk was just a gorgeous silver-lilac foil. All swatches in this seris were 2 coats unless othewise stated.

Yes, the winter is nasty to our nails. When mine makes trouble, they make sure to break way down on the nail bed, so it takes forever to get it out nice.
You know what? I really fell in love with the Smoldering and Charcoal Pearl, and it’s no on my lemming. Soooo pretty!

I’m just placing a new order to CherryCulture, maybe I’ll wait few days to see your swatches (and make new lemmings…). Smoldering is already on my wishlist, glad to see it looks so good. It sounds kind of swedish and I had to check at dictionary that “smoldering” is a real english word
lauquermanic, I liked them because they were just a tad different than other greys. And the shimmer on them is divine.

Amabile, I have to say, that I really liked these new colors. There are several that I’ll be posting over the next few days that are very, very nice.
Lemming alert! I have never made a Cherry Culture haul yet but these might push me over the edge. I <3 square bottles.
