Ginger-Snappy & Liz-Zing

After loading the pics, I realized I didn’t really pick a wide range of shades, the first three being a bit monochromatic green. But don’t let that put you off, these are some great polishes. Besides, is there ever such a thing as too many greens? I say nay.

This is another new brand for me (I went a bit wild on the spending in March). A good portion of the Ginger & Liz collection are cremes but the ones I picked out are quite gorgeous. All swatches are two coaters. Yes, even the holographic glitter. And for those of you that are interested, these are touted as vegan-friendly and toxin-free (does that mean all other polishes vegan unfriendly and toxin ladened?).

The Ginger & Liz collection boasts 36 colors in a very impressive range of shades (They actually have 8 various shades of green). Tough Luxe is more an army green while Blowin Money Fast is more an evergreen green. Both gorgeous. Take a Chill Pill is a holographic glitter that became almost opaque in two coats. Unbelievable. Prima Donna, while gorgeous, is your standard light pink foil.

These run $12 per bottle. I am rather disappointed that I missed out on Big Daddy Cane, which I can only assume was a Holiday offering. Oh well, at least I snagged Take a Chill Pill which is a limited edition shade.

Beware of making any kind of negative comment about G&L polishes. They have made legal threats against bloggers who did in the past. That’s why you rarely see them anywhere in the blogosphere and why many people won’t buy them.

I am not afraid to say it… do you own any Diamond Cosmetics?

Ah geez, is this another “private label” derivative?

I love Blowin Money Fast! Does it have a Diamond Cosmetics dupe? I haven’t looked at their line in ages.

    LOL, jbro, you go girl.

Yeah Miss G, you got it in one.

Kaz, my guess would be Hypnotic. I have several Diamonds, but not that particular one. It’s hard to find pix as good as Gabrielle’s, but Beauty ‘n Spice’s looks pretty close. Actually, it’s hard to find swatches of DC polishes period. Not sure why because they have some to die for colors. Cherry Tobacco is one of my favorites.

I have my bottle of Blowin’ Money Fast out on loan, but I think you’re right Sandi. Based on the bottles, Hypnotic looks like the right match up and Never So Evergreen looks pretty close to Tough Luxe. Hmmm, looks like I’ll have to dust off all my DC bottles and put them in the “swatch queue”.

And for $2.50 (@2.75 for the ‘fancies, how can you miss?) Shipping as a flat $5.90 for the first TWENTY polishes.

I think I feel another order coming on.
