I was soooo excited when Etude House USA started making polishes available for us US consumers a little less than a year ago, but the excitement was rather short lived as it seems the entire site has disappeared into the internet ether.
But wait. All is not lost as Etude House polishes have been appearing more and more frequently on eBay. My personal favorite seller is PrettyChristmas. Her service is very good and shipping is extremely quick considering it’s coming from halfway across the world. Do note her combined shipping and polish cost are comparable to what Etude House USA prices were.
I splurged and ended up getting 12 of the rather extensive Lucy Darling Collection which I’ll be showing in three segments. The entire collection consists of 21 colors. Can you imagine trying to keep up with collections if all of them had that many debuting at one time? *faints* that would be almost too much of a good thing.
The first four are pastel shimmers. As pastels seem to almost always be cremes, I was rather excited about these. The application was rather…. strange. It was thick and chalky going on. I ended up applying 3 coats to cover all streaks and get a consistent level of opaqueness (not all to unusual for pastels). The base color is flat so these shimmers doesn’t have the depth that some do. Top coat is a must with these four as it dries very matte. All in all, I was rather pleased with the end result. They make me oh so ready for spring.
