I Wish for Deep Sparkling Pastels…

And *poof* Misa delivers! Boy, Misa has been surprising the hell out of me lately. The shimmer in these colors is fantastic considering we’re talking pastels here. Hopefully the photos show it off well as sometimes its harder to capture the shimmer glory in lighter shades.

Can I point out my two absolute favorites here? Genie in a Bottle – I believe it. This one looks like a supernova happening behind a cloud. Remember the galaxy that Orion the cat was carrying around his neck in Men in Black? This is what Genie in a Bottle kinda reminds me of. Fountain of Youth is absolutely gorgeous with its pale green on pale green shimmer. I can so see wearing this to work with out getting any hairy eyeballs.

All of these colors have fantastic depth. Your gaze almost falls into the shimmer. Each of these are shown at three coats. As with most pastels, the first two coats are fairly streaky, but the third coat self levels beautifully. These also dry a bit matte, but with top coat, they sparkle like crazy.

The only complaint I might have about this collection (and it’s a small one) is that some of the shades are very similar for one collection. Pixie Princess and Whimsical Wish, although not dupes by any means, could be inbred sisters. And although Never Say Never and Touch the Rainbow are two very different and distinct colors in the bottle, once on the nails and side by side, they seem like variations on silver. Now, with that being said, when you do a collection this pale, it really is hard to have a wide variety of shades. If you start with a blue and make it pale, it’ll turn into a silver. Pale-i-fy a yellow or brown and it’ll end up being a peachy shade. So I understand. But what I wouldn’t have done for a pink version of Genie in this Bottle…

I love these, thanks for sharing! I really like the green and orange but the grey is pretty awesome as well. I’ll have to get my hands on a couple of these :)
