Estee Lauder – Ultra Extravagant Pepper!

Estee Lauder and I are not the closest of friends. We run in different circles. She hangs out in posh cafes with classic music and I’m sitting at the coffee shop listening to poetry readings. She thinks I don’t act my age and I think she’s got a stick up her ass. But every once in awhile we’ll cross paths. It doesn’t happen often – four, to be exact. To be fair, Estee Lauder came out with some really cool and fun colors this summer. Unfortunately for me, they were all cremes so I didn’t indulge. But the four I do have I think are worth showing off as they’re pretty un-Estee Lauder like.

Ultra Violet came out a few years ago and there was alot of buzz around it. It’s a beautiful purple base with loads of pink and purple shimmer.

Extravagant Pearl and Extravagant Night came out at the same time (guess you couldn’t guess that, eh?) a few months back. While I was primarily interested in Extravagant Night, Extravagant Pearl promised to be a gold worth buying – and indeed it was. Although I own enough gold polish to plate my car, this one has a ton of shimmer to make it a standout. Extravagant Night was a bit of a surprise, especially after applying Ultra Violet. It’s a very thin color, despite what it looks like in the bottle. It does, however, build up very well in three coats.

Blue Pepper was simply strange enough that I had to have it. It’s has sparse blue glitter specks in a light blue iridescent base. It’s odd looking. I think that’s what I like about it. It also looks fantastic over black, although you lose the glitter specks.

once I bought a nail polish from Estee Lauder and I was so disappointed cos it was extremely hard, not fluid. It was like somebody opened the bottle and expose it to the air and after sold me out. I could return back it, but I didn’t. They are expensive like Chanel. After I see them here, maybe I can give them a try. Your blog is really good. Congrats!
