When I applied Gold Nugget, I was muttering to myself that there was absolutely no occasion nor any outfit that would warrant wearing this color. Yes, it sparkles like crazy, but seriously, would I want to advertise this shade? I think not. Then I swatched Fiery Orange, and although it was better than Gold Nugget, I wasn’t sold. Yellows and oranges are death to my skin tone. However…On a lark I put Gold Nugget over Fiery Orange and lo and behold, the combination was actually pretty hot.

Desert Dune was another shade with subtle multi dimensional shimmer. If you look closely at the swatch (click on it to enlarge it), you can see some of the gold and green. Golden Treasure was… weird. The shade is fine, the finish is fine. But the combination at this level of sheerness just made my nails look like they were dirty. I’d really like to see if someone else could pull this color off. I don’t think I can. Desert Dune was three coats, the rest were two.
