CND Effects: Anna #575

I reviewed the Anna CND Effect along with the Jason Wu collection but hadn’t done it over the six colors like I usually do. I was delayed with swatching the newer effects because of something that hadn’t happened to me before. When I pulled out my base CND colors to start swatching the new effects, I realized that almost every one of them had suffered from extreme evaporation. Although irritating, this in itself was not an obstacle that couldn’t be oversome with a little thinner. But Asphalt was a different story. It had evaporated to a sticky ball. Very irritating. However, I’ve resuscitated worse. Not this time. Asphalt refused the polish thinner with rebellion. I could not revive the grey polish even over the course of a week so was forced to buy a new one. Very, very irritating. Anyone else experience inordinate evaporation with their CNDs?

As I stated previously, the Anna effect did absolutely nothing for me. It’s supposed to be an effect that produces a matte and feathered look. It reminds me of sheet marks. Some might find it endearingly unique, but I would not purposely apply this effect and then go out in public. To me, it looks like a mani gone wrong.

The full CND Effects Line-up is here. I’ll add this week’s pics to the pile-up at a later date.

I love your pics and reviews.
Your description about this effect is perfect acurted: A mani gone wrong, Asphalt was perfect before Anna was applied. I think I would call it UGH!
    Thanks for your work.

This is one of those “what were they thinking” type polishes. Seriously, what were they thinking?

Your manis rock, btw, despite the “feathered,” deconstructed CND Effect. Yeesh.

That effect is horrible. If I didn’t read and just looked at the pix, I would of assumed you messed up.
    Nice review.
