During the last Cherry Culture sale, I discovered this new line from NYX, the Advanced Salon Formula. I was really excited as I’m a big fan of the NYX Girls line. Like the NYX Girls line, these bottles are square – a big plus!!! They kind of remind me a bit of the Lippmann bottles.

I started off with Ocean Blue and I was very impressed with the pigmentation of this color. It fell into the 1.5 layer category, meaning that one coat was almost enough for full coverage. The color itself is a light blue with a shiny silver and lighter blue shimmer. The color isn’t highly unusual, but its pigmentation definitely makes it worth buying.

Both Be Jeweled and Enchanted Forest are solid two coat glitters set in a jelly base. Be Jeweled is a more blue base and Enchanted Forest is more green. Royal Blue is another non-unique blue. Beautiful, but not unusual. The pigmentation wasn’t as good as Ocean Blue, but it was better than the usual dark blue.

As I purchased these while Cherry Culture was having their 20% sale, I purchase more than just four (no! I won’t admit how many!). I can’t wait to swatch the rest of these.
