Chanel Rose Cache and Velvet Mat

Somehow Rose Cache slipped beneathe my radar and I totally missed it’s arrival along with the Velvet Mat Top Coat. What is this world coming to?

Although, now that I purchased Rose Cachet, swatched it and saw it on my nails, my concern over the delayed acquisition was completely unwarrented. It’s babb (band-aid but better also known as mannequin hands) color that rather blends into obscurity. There seems to be a fine line between babb colors and the perfect mauve. Rose Cachet doesn’t have enough pink to be the latter. The shimmer in this is extremely muted so it doesn’t even have that little bit of extra oomph. Unless you’re a fan of this shade, this is a pretty non-descript Chanel color.

Velvet Mat was more interesting. It truly did apply like a top coat. Where alot of matte top coats mattify almost immediately, Velvet Mat didn’t matte until it was completely dry. But if you take a look, it does a superb job.

How does the channel matte tc compare to essie matte about you?

As usual lovely swatches, this colour is very pretty. but i am not sure it justifies the high mark-up of channels
